JOB SUMMARY
A creative and passionate architecture and design firm seeks a highly skilled and experienced Architect to join the team. The ideal candidate will hold a California Architect License, possess a Master’s degree in Architecture. Candidate will manage project through all design and construction phases with strong knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and local codes. Excellent communication skills and experience in digital modeling and drafting software are essential for coordinating with clients and cross-functional teams on residential and commercial projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
To apply for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- California Architect License required.
- Master’s degree in Architecture or related fields at an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience in all-phase design process, including site survey, production of design submissions, development of design details, specification of interior and exterior materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Demonstrated abilities in construction coordination, including preparing comprehensive architectural construction documentation, providing solutions for design changes per field conditions, shop drawings review, and material specification.
- Demonstrated experience in both residential and commercial project planning and design.
- Strong working knowledge of materials, construction techniques, building and zoning codes, and any local regulations that might be applied to project location.
- Professional experience in digital modeling and drafting in Rhino and AutoCAD and rendering with Enscape, as well as demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suites (including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
- Excellent communication and organization skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate with clients and cross-functional teams, including city departments, civil engineers, contractors, vendors and manufacturers, and work effectively in a team environment with all levels of staff/management within the organization.
- Demonstrate experience in construction administration including RFIs, shop drawing review, and on-site coordination with contractor and consultants.
- Strong willingness to commute and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
JOB DUTIES
Perform predesign services, such as zoning and building envelope analysis, and market analysis for financial feasibility.
- Manage project through all design and construction phases, including but not limited to the preparation of construction documents, interior packages, specifications, and other deliverables such as schematics, renderings, 3D models and graphics.
- Assume responsibility for estimating the cost and schedule of construction.
- Provide assistance and representation to clients during the bidding and procurement process phase for contractor and manufacturer selections.
- Coordinate with consultants and specialists, such as MEP, Civil / Structural engineers, and Landscape designers.
- Oversee all aspects of construction administration, including site observation, respond to RFIs and submittal review. Coordinate and monitor compliance with design and plan intent through periodic construction site visits.
- Ensure projects are designed and built according to local guidelines, environmental impact, and other regulations.

Annual Salary: $112,944.00
