Located in Rosemead, The Good Alley specializes in xiao long bao, and our interior design draws inspiration from the cultural heritage and craftsmanship behind this beloved dish. The tonality is warm and inviting, reflecting the comfort and familiarity of a shared meal, while incorporating modern design language to create a fresh dining experience.

Materials are thoughtfully layered—rich wood surfaces, natural stone accents, and textured wall finishes evoke a sense of authenticity and depth. Lighting is designed to be soft yet focused, enhancing the natural tones of the space while highlighting the textures of the materials.

All major furnishings, including the banquettes, were custom made to fit the space perfectly and to create an intimate yet flexible seating arrangement. The banquette design features tailored upholstery and curved profiles that echo the shape of steamed dumplings. Custom lighting fixtures add a distinctive identity, combining traditional motifs with a contemporary form to tie together the restaurant’s cultural and modern elements.
